If you think team building is for corporate employees online, this is where you are wrong. There are also organizations and schools that hire XL Events team charity events in order to organize activities geared towards a rewarding cause. This is the same purpose that the Beverly High School boys that belong to the hockey team organized a team building.
This has become a yearly tradition for the team to take part in preseason traditions that center on community service. For this year, they decided to conduct the even before the beginning of the school year 2018 to 2019.
Shooting Pucks for Pete’s Sake’ campaign was organized for the two consecutive years by the boys’ hockey team. The team building doubles as a fundraising event which will help gather donations for Pete Frates, a local foundation in Beverly along with a number of individuals suffering from ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
The team building event lasted for four days on November. During the event, the players from Beverly High were asked to shoot around 125 pucks every day. For four days, the number of pucks shot must not be below 500. Majority of the players from the Orange and Black team was able to do that and more. The sponsors of the players are also their family members as well as their friends. The number of pucks is matched by the sponsors during the entire four-day event. All the money are to be given to two recipients – Team Frate Train and The Pete Frates #3 Fund.
At the end of the team building, the team was able to gather $3,690 for both causes. The amount is higher by $1,000 compared to the previous year. A total of 33 boys joined for this year’s team building for charity. In total, there were over 16,500 pucks that were shot.
Before the event, the Panthers also joined in the yearly Pete Frates 5K: Run, Wheel, Walk 3 for #3. The money was given to Pete’s Park which is located in Beverly and was constructed for the use of children with disabilities. This activity carries the same value as XL Events team charity events that were organized for corporations and companies.
